Experience a stimulating day of discussion, camaraderie and, possibly, civilized controversy at the Long Island Great Books Council’s Annual Spring Discussion. We invite you to attend one of two concurrent discussions on human relations and science at our annual one-day Spring Discussion.

Who is this for?

Anyone who wants to read and discuss thought-provoking literature.

What do you get?

Books, participation in two discussions, good food (continental breakfast, hot lunch, beverages), and an opportunity to present your ideas and listen to and explore the ideas of others.

Where? 223 Stewart Avenue (at Nassau Boulevard) in Garden City (the Unitarian Universalist building), about 10 minutes from the NYC border, or 20 minutes from the Throgs Neck Bridge, or 40 minutes from the Verrazano Narrows Bridge (60 minutes in heavy traffic).

When? Saturday June 12, 2010, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Cost? $55 per person
