The Long Island Great Books Council (LIGBC) is a non-profit organization founded in 1954 and dedicated to fostering discussions of great literature on Long
Island, New York. LIGBC sponsors an annual one-day Spring Discussion that draws people from Long Island, New York City, New Jersey, New England, Delaware,
and Pennsylvania for a full day of discussions. The LIGBC_History_of_Readings.pdf
